The uniquely-controlled CTE characteristics, chemical bonding properties, and polycrystalline structure of our proprietary Kryoflex® ceramic sealing system, enables PA&E to manufacture fiber optic connectors from a variety of compatible materials. This process produces a connector exhibiting exceptional optical and environmental performance characteristics.

PA&E's hermetically-sealed fiber optic connectors are designed for use in military, telecommunication, medical and other commercial applications where environmental conditions require an extremely reliable hermetic seal.

  • Body: 300-series stainless steel
  • Transition: Explosion-bonded 300-series stainless steel to compatible aluminum or titanium

RETURN LOSS Connectors provide a return loss of 50 (PC) and 70 Min (APC).
SERVICE LIFE Connector capable of 1000 mate/demate cycles.
INSERTION LOSS (IL) Connectors provide of typically 0.2 (0.4 Max).
REPEATABILITY OF IL Connectors exhibit ±0.1 Max over service life.
OPERATING TEMPERATURE Connector exhibits no detrimental damage within an operating range of -40°C to +85°C.
