Ceramic-to-Metal Seals
PA&E's ceramic-to-metal hermetic seals incorporating the patented Kryoflex® polycrystalline ceramic, were created to replace conventional compression
glass and metalized alumina ceramics for superior bonding properties. It is a unique material that relieves stress within itself and
eliminates the most common causes of hermetic failure. PA&E's Kryoflex® sealing system demonstrates superior electrical performance while
withstanding mechanical and thermal stresses far beyond what glass-to-metal hermetic seals can endure. Kryoflex® will directly seal into
materials such as stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum.
Glass-to-Metal Seals
When required for a specific application, or utilized when a less-expensive manufacturing alternative to our Kryoflex®hermetic seal is necessary, PA&E can also seal glass directly
into most any iron/nickel alloy. Matched sealing, compression sealing, and Hi-Rel (High-Reliability) sealing using special oxidation
and requiring higher processing temperatures, can be used, depending upon individual package requirements. PA&E's hermetic glass-to-metal seals meet or
exceed MIL-STD-883 and JEDEC Spec 9A. |
